Settlements for Law Firms & Conveyancers
Keep the client. Keep the advice work. Hand us the settlement.
- A flat $395 + GST per settlement — verification of identity and AML/CTF checks through InfoTrack included.
- Purchase settlements completed on PEXA by a property law practice — with a lawyer, not a processing queue, behind every file.
- Your firm stays the client’s lawyer. We never advise your client, and we never market to them.
- No charge for delayed or re-booked settlements — and you’re invoiced after settlement, not before.
- Settlement funds move through the PEXA Source Account — and we will never change deposit details by email.

A settlement desk for firms
The Settlement Leg, Off Your Desk — Without Losing the File
The settlement leg is where good files go to eat time: PEXA Workspace invitations, verification of identity, duty declarations, funding, lender chasing, and the re-books that land at 4pm the day before. It has to be done perfectly — and it doesn’t need to be done by you.
Corporate Legal completes the settlement for you. We become the PEXA subscriber on the file and run the settlement end to end, while you remain your client’s lawyer for everything that matters: the contract, the advice, the relationship. Your firm is our client — not your purchaser — and that boundary is written into our engagement terms.
Whether you’re a sole practitioner who’d rather be doing billable work, a firm without PEXA capacity in a given state, or a practice that simply has more settlements than hands, we give you a settlement desk that scales with your volume — at a flat fee you can pass through or absorb with no surprises.
One flat fee
$395 + GST Per Settlement. Everything the Settlement Leg Needs.
Included in the fee
- Full conduct of the PEXA Workspace as subscriber — creation, invitations, documents and settlement.
- Verification of identity for up to two purchasers, with AML/CTF checks, through InfoTrack.
- Transfer duty declarations handled with the revenue office.
- Settlement adjustment figures and the settlement statement provided to you before settlement.
- A single, phone-verified funding notice per matter.
- A written report to you on completion.
Billed at cost (no margin)
PEXA fees and government lodgement/registration fees are passed through at cost — we add nothing to them.
Billing terms
Invoiced after settlement on 30-day terms — never up front. Delayed settlement? Re-booked settlement? No extra charge. The fee is the fee.

Talk to UsHow we work
From Your Instructions to Settled — in Six Steps
Send Us the File
Book the settlement with the contract details, the parties and the settlement date — a minimum of 12 business days before settlement. We confirm acceptance the same day where we can.
We Open the Workspace
We create the PEXA Workspace as subscriber, invite the other side and any lender, and take on the coordination — including the chasing.
Identity and Duty
We complete verification of identity and AML/CTF checks for your purchaser through InfoTrack, and attend to the transfer duty declarations — contacting your client only for the steps that require it.
Figures to You First
Before settlement you receive the settlement adjustment figures and the settlement statement for your review — nothing settles on numbers you haven’t seen.
Funding, Safely
You receive one written funding notice per matter, with account details you verify with us by phone. Or skip the middle step entirely: your client can fund direct through PEXA Key, so details never travel by email at all.
Settled and Reported
We complete settlement on PEXA and report to you on completion — so your file closes with everything documented.

Your Client Stays Your Client. Always.
You Are Our Client
Our engagement is with your firm. No solicitor-client relationship arises between us and your purchaser — that is expressly stated in our engagement terms, not just implied.
We Stay in Our Lane
We don’t advise your client and we don’t review the exchanged contract. The advice work — and the relationship it builds — stays exactly where it belongs: with you.
Contact Only Where the Process Requires It
We deal with your client only for the settlement steps that need them — identity verification, AML/CTF checks, transfer duty declarations and PEXA — and never to market to them. Our non-solicitation commitment is part of our terms.
Funds security
How Settlement Funds Are Protected
Payment redirection fraud is the biggest single risk in conveyancing. Our funding process is built so the question “is this email real?” never has to be answered.
No Trust Account, by Design
Settlement funds don’t pass through our trust account or yours. They move through the PEXA Source Account — an account PEXA maintains with an Australian authorised deposit-taking institution to hold cleared funds for a forthcoming settlement.
One Funding Notice, Verified by Phone
You receive a single written funding notice per matter, setting out the account details, the amount and the deadline — and you verify it with us by telephone on a number you already hold, never one given in the notice itself.
We Will Never Change Account Details by Email
Any communication that purports to change deposit details — however genuine it looks, whoever it appears to come from — is not from us. That is an absolute rule, and it’s in our engagement terms.
Or Cut Email Out Entirely With PEXA Key
Your client can fund settlement directly through the PEXA Key app, secured to the Workspace itself — so account details never travel by email at all.
Full visibility
You See Everything That Matters — Without Touching PEXA
Because we’re the PEXA subscriber on the file, your firm doesn’t need a Workspace login, a PEXA subscription in that state, or another system to watch. We run the Workspace; you get the paper trail.
On every matter, you receive:
- Progress updates as the matter moves.
- The settlement adjustment figures and settlement statement, before settlement.
- The funding notice, phone-verified.
- A written completion report when it settles.

Why Firms Hand Their Settlements to Corporate Legal
A Law Practice, End to End
Your settlement is run inside an incorporated legal practice with professional indemnity insurance, participating in a Professional Standards Scheme — not a processing bureau.
A Fee You Can Put in Writing
$395 + GST, flat. Quote it to your client, pass it through, or absorb it — there’s nothing variable to explain later.
Capacity on Demand
One settlement this month or twenty — the desk scales with your volume, and quiet months cost you nothing.
No Poaching, in Writing
Our non-solicitation commitment is in our terms. We exist to make your firm look good, not to build a client list off your files.
Security-First Funding
The Source Account, one phone-verified funding notice, the never-by-email rule and PEXA Key — a funding process designed against payment redirection fraud.
Fast to Start
No portal to learn and no onboarding project. Sign the engagement letter once, then book settlements as you need us — 12 business days’ notice per file.
Send us your next settlement and judge us on it.
