What exactly is a Corporate Legal Membership?

It is a fixed monthly arrangement that keeps a qualified property and commercial lawyer on your side all year. You get quick answers, a set number of included reviews, an annual check-up and priority access — plus a standing member discount on every matter we run for you. It is designed for people who need a lawyer more than once: investors, SMSF trustees and business owners.

Who is it best suited to?

Anyone with recurring legal needs around property or business — active investors, SMSF trustees, commercial landlords and tenants, developers, and business owners. If you only expect to buy one home and nothing else for years, the Peace of Mind tier keeps you covered, but the real value is for people who transact and seek advice repeatedly.

Is the advice “unlimited”?

Quick questions are included without a per-question charge, on a fair-use basis — that means normal, reasonable use for your tier. Substantive pieces of work (running a transaction, a dispute, complex structuring) sit outside the membership and are quoted separately at your member rate. We always tell you before anything moves from “included” to “quoted”, so there are never surprises.

What is not included?

Full transactions (conveyancing, leases, SMSF set-ups), disputes and litigation, failed settlements, section 66G sales, caveats, complex or bespoke structuring, court and tribunal work, and negotiation beyond the first round. All of these are available — at your member discount — and quoted before we begin.

Do I still pay for a conveyance if I’m a member?

What is the minimum term, and can I cancel?

Memberships run on a 12-month term, billed monthly. This keeps the arrangement fair for everyone — it is a year-round relationship, not something to switch on only when a matter arises. We will set out renewal and cancellation terms clearly in your membership agreement.

Are the fees plus GST, and what about disbursements?

All membership fees are professional fees plus GST. Disbursements — third-party search, registration and settlement costs — apply to transactional work as they always do, and are passed on at cost with no mark-up and itemised for you.

Can my company, trust or SMSF hold the membership?

Yes. Memberships can be held in your own name or through a company, trust or SMSF structure. The Portfolio and Counsel tiers are built with exactly these clients in mind.
